Iranian Red Crescent Says Death Toll Climbs After US-Israeli Airstrikes
According to statements issued by the organization, the coordinated assaults struck 131 residential areas throughout Iran. The statement confirmed, “555 lives” have been lost, though it did not include figures on those wounded.
Earlier reports from the Iranian Red Crescent had placed the death toll at 201, with 747 people injured, as of Saturday.
The combined US-Israeli military offensive that commenced on Saturday has also resulted in the deaths of several senior Iranian officials, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
In retaliation, Tehran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, US installations, and nations across the Gulf.
